Nancy K. Gage, age 64 of Escanaba, passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2023.

 

Nancy was born April 26, 1958. She was employed with Rampart Emergency Medical Services for over 40 years and most recently was a Medical Examiner Investigator.

 

Nancy was a community leader. She was a Captain for PGR Regional Ride, Michigan Bikers Helping Veterans, the President of the Eagles Auxiliary 1088/ Great Lakes Regional President. She was involved with the Steam and Gas Engine Association and helped build the infirmary. Nancy played an important role with the start of the Serenity Garden at OSF Hospital and was on the Committee for Honor Flight Legacy at UP Military Museum. She was also a proud Honor Flight Medic among other things.

 

Nancy is survived by her loving family and many dear friends.

 

Nancy is preceded in death by her Parents and her dear friend, Ann Roman.

 

Family will receive friends on Friday, April 21, 2023 from 2:00 until 6:00 PM at the Skradski Funeral Home in Escanaba. Rampart EMS will conduct a “Last Call” at 6:00 PM. Visitation will resume Saturday from 10:00 AM until 11:30 AM with Eagles Auxiliary 1088 presenting a funeral ritual at 11:30 AM at the Skradski Funeral Home in Escanaba. Nancy will be laid to rest in the Holy Cross Cemetery in Escanaba. A luncheon will take place at the Eagles 1088 Club following graveside services.

    Rest in Peace Nancy. You will be missed by so many. Tom and I both will miss all the joking around we used to do at the Eagles. Fly high with the angels my friend.

    I met Nancy at St. Stephen’s church. I also enjoyed seeing her at the Eagles when they had their breakfast on Sunday. Nancy was always so good to people and she always made you feel that she cared when she talked to you.
    She was a humble quiet woman who I know did many good things. My prayers are with her family and friends.

    Nancy and I attended many PGR missions together over the years. She truly had a Patriots Heart and will forever be missed. You have left a huge hole in the heart of the U.P Patriot Guard Riders. Rest in Peace Nancy!!

    Nancy was a tremendous lady. Her smile was contagious and her sassiness would make anyone laugh. Thank you for being my President of the Eagles Auxiliary for the last several years. Rest in peace my dear.

    Nancy was one of my favorite classmates, going back to Soo Hill Elementary – great person, great athlete; the world will miss her.

    Nancy was a good friend of mine. We had many good times over Christmas while we were growing up. I will miss our times together. Rest in peace, Nancy.

    Nancy and I go way back to the early 80’s when we attended EMS classes together. She was a tough straight up and vocal advocate for her patients. We continued to run into each other when in our EMS roles, and again in our “retirement” positions. On behalf of all of us at Manistique EMS, Condolences to her family and extended EMS family. Im certain she has already heard the words “Well done, good and faithful servant”.

    Nancy was a true staple in our community and will be deeply missed. I am so sorry for your loss. Sending hugs, thoughts and prayers your way.

    My thoughts and prayers are with you all…I didn’t know Nancy that long but she has left a lasting impression on me. She always had a smile whenever I saw her at the Eagles and always made you feel like part of the club. She will be missed!!!

    Nancy was the type of person that left a mark on the hearts on everyone she met. She will be missed on Sunday morning for the Eagle Breakfast. You could always count on a smile and a hello. Nancy you will be missed by many. Fly high.

    Over the years I have seen Nancy in or at many parades, social events, fund raisers, conferences, and various other tribute occasions. She even attended to me while I rode to Marquette in the ambulance. I’ve only got to know her better over the past few years, being a Eagle’s member. Nancy meant alot to our community and will be forever missed, RIP my friend.

    Nancy will be missed by many. Some way she has touched many of our lives. Very few people go through life and give so much joy. This lady was very special. Thank you for letting me and Judy being part of your life. Deepest sympathy to your family. You will continue your work in heaven. RIP

    The world has lost a dear friend and patriot. She has done so many things big and small that will be hard to replace. I have worked with her not only on the PGR but also as an EMT. She seemed to always have some kind of surprise. Thank you Nancy for all you have done. I don’t know if they have Harleys in heaven, but if so I know you are riding happily.

    I met Nancy years ago through Patriot Guard Riders. She was always ready to help, especially new folks. Fly among the angels with your flag waving proudly.
