I will surely miss my auntie midge as now she is resting in a better place. I remember being a little girl and going to see great grandma and auntie on the farm. All those fond memories and stories I will have. My last memory is when my daughter Evelyn was only a couple months old and we were able to visit with auntie at the family get together. Auntie midge held her so tight just as she had done me when I was little. I will share every memory with my daughter now as my mother did with me. We love you and will miss you!!!

We never met Midge, but she had to be wonderful. Duane is a terrific person, and from listening to all my cousins talk about her, you know she was a great person. May her soul rest in peace and our prayers are with you all.

    Auntie Midge,

Caught myself smiling today, thought I’d share it with ya.

My growing up, sometimes I wondered how I ever made it. It’s filled with memories, some good, some not so good. Some of the best though, were of you.

The not so good: Catching a “chewing” for putting the rabbits together in their cages, or messing around in the chicken coop. Worse yet, shooting my dad’s gun at the water puddle right out your back door. My ears burned after that one!

The middle of the road: All the clothes and jackets you gave me when I was a young single mom. Not exactly a fashion statement for someone of my age. My thoughts changed however, when it got cold and I needed something to keep me warm.

The good: We were allowed in the garden to help weed and pick vegetables. Yum!

The really great. A scarf. Tied up backwards on the top of your head. I bought land last year. It too will have a garden. And, when I enter it, there will be tied up backwards on the top of my head; a scarf.

    Love from Sally
