Not everyone is blessed to have a person in their life like Mikki. She kept you humble, she made you a stronger person, she shared what she had and most of all made you, her friends, family the most important thing in her life. I don’t think she ever realized the influence she had on all of us. Rest without pain Mikki—run fast in the wind and keep those angels smiling. Love you forever and will never forget those twinkling eyes.

Mikki was a lovely person. I enjoyed visiting her at dinner with my mother, Lora, at Christian Park Village. She would often tease me about the Lions. She always watched over the other residents including my mother. She will be greatly missed.

My deepest sympathy to all of Mikki’s family and friends.
I attended school with Mikki, we were in scouts together and went on some trips with our scout troop. After graduation in 1962, I would see Mikki every 10 yrs (1972, 1982, 1992, 2002 I only came home every 10 yrs.) Mikki was always with that big smile and sweet personality… Not ever did I hear her complain that she was having a bad day, no matter what. She was such a beautiful person, and it made you realize what a strong person she was. I would see Mikki with Linda Apelgren all the time before and when I would come to Gladstone and kept an update on how Mikki was doing through the years via Linda…. I was blessed to know what a strong beautiful person Mikki was. “Rest in Peace Dearest Mikki, We were all blessed to know you….”

Mikki, you will be missed by me and all who knew her.. I would visit with her at the Village when I would visit with my mother..She was a wonderful classmate.. hugs..

Mikki was an absolute treasure and so very dear to me. We sure had some memorable times. I’m so thankful I had the opportunity to get to know her. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

To the Family and Friends of Mikki, I am so sorry for the sadness in your hearts. What an amazing lady that I got to know while she was a resident at CPV. She always looked out for the other residents. Many times when she would be in the dining room, she would help ease the anxiety of another resident by just sitting next to them and holding their hand or looking through a magazine with them. It seemed you never had to encourage her to join in the activities that were taking place…she loved and look forward to the crafts, music, playing bingo, bowling to name a few. We knew she loved the Packers…and win or lose, you knew that she would always remain a ‘loyal’ fan. Hold on to all the wonderful memories that you have of her and know that one day you can share those memories with her once again. Until then, her LOVE remains with you here on this earth. With Caring Thoughts and Prayers, Kathy Grill – CPV
