    Dear Blanche and family:
I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Mike. My memories of him and his friendship were very special and ran very deep. I enjoyed playing with him on all the sports teams we were part of at RRHS. And especially all the times Darryl, Charlie and I got together to play with him at the farm. He was a very special person and will be greatly missed. His sense of humor and love of life will be something each of us will remember forever.

I did not have an oportunity to work with Mike because I cover the state of Kansas. But I truly enjoined the regional meetings over the past several years when Mike was there. He was a great guy, always quick witted. The last trip back to Seco, Mike and I were there at the same time. I knew he wasent feeling that well and was battling his illness. He did not complain once. He was making me laugh during lunch and the bus ride to the airport. We will miss you Mike

I first met and worked for Mike 20 years ago, at Energy Mfg in Monticello Iowa. He left there for another company. Our paths crossed again when Mike came to work for me at Seco Tools in 2005. He was an honest, dedicated, hardworking, outgoing person. My thoughts and prayers are with his entire family. I’ve enjoyed the last few years of working with Mike, he will be greatly missed.

    Colleen,

I was so sorry to hear of the passing of your brother Mike. May the comfort of God help you during this difficult time.

When we lose someone we love, it seems that time stands still. What moves through us is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch. We may not understand why Mike left this earth so soon, or why he left before you were ready to say goodbye, but little by little, you will begin to remember not that Mike had died, but that he had lived. And that his life gave you memories too beautiful to forget. May your memories of your brother Mike give you strength. Just to let you know that you are ALL in my prayers at this time.

Axel was very special to Den and I. We were his chaperones on his Senior class trip (we had a ball) and have remained friends since. Michelle, I will never forget the day your Dad knocked on my 2nd grade classroom door and asked to see his daughter. First, I was shocked to see him at Cameron School, and secondly I didn’t believe he had a daughter in my room. I never made the connection when you talked about your Dad in Iowa.

I just talked to him about a month ago, and he was so proud of you and your accomplishments.
Our sympathy to you and your entire family. He always brought a smile and laugh to everyone. He will remain in our hearts forever.
