I always thought I can find the right words for the right moment, but I can never find the words when it comes to a loss.
As we grow older, we are framed by the people who helped us grow, and the memories we hold a little bit closer are from our childhood. Missy was my friend from elementary to high school, and even now, I am reminded all the time of our friendship. From sleepovers with terrible horror movies, introduction to Latin pop aka Selena, endless hours of video games, my first email address (how did she know the answer was marzipan?), and maybe I try to forget all the 80s music played all the time, because how many times can you listen to 99 luft balloons? All in all, she was smart, humble, and the laughter is what I remember the most – we were always laughing.
So when you cannot find the words, all you can do is hope she knew the words you could not say before life was cut short.
I hope she is at peace with her mom and gram by her side. I hope her family can find peace in the darkest of times. And I hope we can all honor Missy by the simple act of sharing a good laugh.
Rest in peace my friend.

Missy. I will always remember the good times we had like getting together for halloween parties. I remember one year you had games organized for us and even little prizes for the winners. I would be extra happy when you came to cosmic bingo with us even though we had to really talk you into going. I always had fun when I was around you, you were uplifting and positive and always had something to talk about! Especially at work you kept as entertained and supplied with gummy worms and sour cherry candies. I’ll really miss you, rest in peace.

Missy, I am soo blessed to have known you for soo long. Working at issues was never a dull moment when we worked together. Always cared about how everyone was doing. You were always soo energetic and caring. You have raised a wonderful daughter whom I am soo handful I got to know. You are truly loved and missed by soo many people. Gone way too soon but I promise you will never be forgotten. Rest easy my friend ❤️
