To the family of Maureen….I miss her soo much. She was right across the hall from me and I look at her door everyday. Not one day goes by when I don’t think of her…you guys must have had a great, terrific, fun mom. She was special….we shared several clients and I talk to her almost daily and either complain or ask for her guidance. She was great at what she did. The best.

I just wanted to let Maureen’s family know that I am sorry for their loss. Maureen was my therapist at the most desperate time in my life. My father was killed at work and I was losing my home. Maureen helped me work through my losses and to deal with me being bipolar. Maureen saved me from myself and I owe my life to her. She was my angel and I would not be where I am today without her. I now live in Denver, Colorado and she did give me a reference for a remarkable job I had here in Denver. I am so heart broken because everyone has at least one person who helped become who they are in their life and Maureen was that person for me. I have a great life out here in Denver and a new family of my own, but if it were not for Maureen, I may have ended up down whole different path…a path of destruction. I am praying for her family and those who will greatly miss her. I just found out today and I am shocked. I will never forget how special of a lady she was…

My thoughts and prayers are with you. I was in social work classes from NMU at Bay College with your mother. So well put that she had a remarkable and inquisitive mind. We would talk about our dependency on alcohol as I too had been that road and I am sure she gave of herself and helped many others through her counseling. I knew your father too as I worked at Social Services and in fact met my husband on a picket line your father helped organize in 1983 at Delta Social Services. The picture of your mother graduating shows her great smile. She truly was determined and met her goal getting a masters degree. I am sorry for your loss.

My deepest sympathies go out to your family at this very hard time. I would just like to share with you how your mother has touched my life. I have been a patient of Maureen for the past 7 years, she is not only my therapist but a very dear friend. She knew her job well, she said what she meant and meant what she said. She literally saved my life and made it worth living for me. I will always hold her close to my heart. God Bless

Maureen was a loving, gifted woman. She touched the lives of many of us that knew her. Maureen had a strong belief system and we shared many conversations about this so I am also filled with joy knowing that she is in the loving arms of our Father.

Maureen was my sister’s therapist for 7 years and my sister loved her dearly. I have been to a few of those sessions myself and could see and hear how she truely cared about my sisters well being. I knew it wasn’t just a job for her and could see why she was my sisters rock.

I really didn’t know her on a personal level but I am sure she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

The world lost a remarkably person.

Maureen was an amazing woman. As one of her patients, she was able to help me in a way no other counselor had in my 20 years of life. Its hard for me to trust someone enough to open up to them, but after a year of kindness, compassion, and help, I was finally able to open up to her, and together we were able to make progress in my conditions.

She was wise, intelligent, and thoughtful, and always gave me stern support and never took it easy on me, even though it may have been easier. She truly cared about helping those she worked with, and I will miss her dearly.

I hope and pray that she will be able to watch over all of those still on this earth, and lend the strength she had in life to us while she is in heaven.

To all her family and friends, I wish you the best, and I though I knew her for only so long, I truly miss her, and I feel for you all. God bless you, and help you through this difficult time.
