Martin A. Trottier, age 93, of Gladstone, MI, passed away peacefully Monday, February 24, 2020 at Lakeview Assisted Living in Gladstone.

Martin was born January 13, 1927, in Escanaba, MI, the son of Julius and Julia (Jackson) Trottier.

Martin was a Charter member of local 506 Plumbers and Pipefitters of Escanaba, Michigan. He was a master plumber for 60 years and truly
loved what he did.

Martin enjoyed fishing, ice fishing, and hunting birds, rabbits, and deer. He truly loved the outdoors. Whether it was making maple syrup in the spring, sitting out in the woods, or in the sugar bush in Boney Falls. Martin was the kind of person who willingly helped others. He was a good Father and provider for his family. When he wasn’t working out of town, Martin was home with his family. He also liked to travel and go on road trips.

Martin is survived by:
3 Sons: David (Michelle) Trottier of Rapid River, MI
Tim (Tina) Trottier of Escanaba, MI
Ray (Connie) Trottier of Gladstone, MI
2 Daughters: Georgia (Gene) Drossart of Chilton, WI
Bonnie (Leo) Akins of Bonita Springs, FL
Step children Sharon Doan, Aileen Anderson, Tommy Anderson, Jerry Anderson, Kathy Isome, Mary Anne Nein , all from the Decatur, Illinois area.

Numerous Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren
And numerous Nieces and Nephews

In addition to his Parents, Martin is preceded in death by:

Son: Roger Trottier,
Daughter: Judith Westlake
Grandson: Christopher Trottier
7 Sisters: Marie, Alice, Julia, Irene, Lucille, Genevieve and Dorthy
And 3 Brothers: Raymond, Julius, Norbert.

Family will receive friends Saturday, March 7, 2020 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. Military Honors will conclude visiting hours at 1:00 PM. Martin will be laid to rest in the Holy Cross Cemetery in Escanaba. The Skradski Family Funeral Homes of Delta County are assisting the Trottier family.
