Marta L. Berg, age 83, of 511 Michigan Ave, died unexpectedly Thursday evening August 21st, 2009 at the St. Francis Hospital Emergency Room in Escanaba.
Marta was born August 13, 1925 in Lebanon Junction, Kentucky to James and Mary (Stopher) Tungette. Following graduation Marta joined the Salvation Army where she served many communities throughout the United States and abroad.

On August 19th 1955 she was united in marriage to Edward

    I became acquainted with Marta through the Christian Women’s Club. I was very saddened when I read of Marta’s death in the paper just now. Marta was an inspiration and always an encourager to me. I’ll really miss her, and her loving hugs whenever I saw her. I will be praying for Ed and the rest of the family. God bless and comfort you.
