Marlyn T. Hemes, age 86, passed away peacefully Wednesday evening, July 2, 2014, at Bishop Noa Home in Escanaba.
Marlyn was born March 27, 1928, in Detroit, the daughter of George and Helen (Steinheiser) McArthey and was a graduate of the Detroit schools. On August 26, 1950, Marlyn was united in marriage to Dr. William Hemes, in Detroit, and together the couple gave birth to one son, Michael.

Marlyn was preceded in death by her parents, George and Helen:

Mass of Christian Burial services were held privately, Thursday July 3, 2014, at St. Joseph and St. Patrick Church in Escanaba. Marlyn will be laid to rest in the Gardens of Rest Cemetery in Wells. The Skradski Family Funeral Homes of Delta County are assisting the Hemes family with arrangements.
