Bricco, Mark S, 98, of Gladstone, MI, husband of Clara (Lewis) Bricco and long time member of All Saints Catholic Church in Gladstone passed away Friday, September 30, 2016 at the Homestead Village in Pensacola Florida.
Mark was born in Appleton, Wisconsin on October 13, 1917; son of the late Albert and Elizabeth Bricco. He served his country faithfully in the Air Corps branch of the Regular Army in World War II during which he was a B-17 top turret gunner flying in over 35 missions. Upon honorable discharge from the Army he became an engineer for the Soo Line Rail Road until his retirement.
Father of six sons: Roger, Michael, Robert, James, Gary and Patrick Bricco. Step-Father to four children: Edna, Darlene, Thelma and Danny. Also survived by 22 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his first wife and mother of their six sons, Mary (Cannon) Bricco, three brothers Robert, George and Donald and one sister Agnes (Knapp). Mark enjoyed wood-working, camping and especially fishing.
Mark’s family will receive friends on Thursday October 13, 2016 from 11:00 am to 1:15 pm at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. Military rites conducted by the Gladstone American Legion Post #71 will follow at 1:15 pm. Funeral services celebrating the life of Mark S. Bricco with follow at 1:30 pm with Rev. Fr. Jamie Ziminski of the All Saints Catholic Church officiating. Luncheon will follow services in the All Saints Church Parish Hall. Burial will take place in the Fernwood Cemetery in Gladstone.
