Marion O. Leisenring, age 89, of Gladstone passed away at home on Saturday, March 26, 2016.
Marion was born April 11, 1926 in Gladstone, the daughter of Elisher and Laurencia (Eagle) McKnight. She was united in marriage to Robert Allen Leisenring. Marion worked as a riveter and welder during World War II and as a waitress for many years. She also enjoyed playing bingo.
Marion is survived by three sons, Terry (Linda) Leisenring of Gladstone, Robert (Enid) Leisenring of Cortez, CO and Bruce (Francis) Leisenring of Pico Rivera, CA; one daughter, Jeri Taurisano of Gladstone; nine grandchildren, numerous lovable great grandchildren; four brothers, Leroy (Yvonne) McKnight, James (Dorothy) McKnight and Richard (Marilyn) McKnight all of Gladstone and Elmer (Dorothy) McKnight of Racine, WI; three sisters, Clara Moser of Danforth, Patricia Irving of Gladstone and Frances McCulley of Las Vegas, NV, sister-in-law, Lottie Eagle of Escanaba and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her sister, Doris Scheuren and her brother, Arnold Eagle.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 9 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. Memorial services will follow at 4:00 PM. A luncheon will be served following the services at the Gladstone Senior Center.
