Quietly, Marianne Williamson (85) passed away at Christian Park Healthcare Center on November 3, 2020.
The only daughter of Mathilde and Arthur Gartner, Marianne was born June 12, 1935 in Hamburg Germany.
A very educated and well traveled woman, Marianne came to America in 1965 and found her way to California where she met her husband William (Bill) Williamson of Trenary, Mi.
Throughout her married life of 50 years, she worked along side her husband in the family real estate business, all the while continuing her education in Clinical Psychology and volunteering her services within the mental health community.
Marianne became a naturalized citizen in 1999 and the following year was licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist.
Marianne had many honors to her name, she spoke 3 languages, loved to sing and dance and occasionally go to the opera. She was very health conscious and recycled before it was popular. Marianne led a very full life until she sur-came to alzheimers disease which tragically altered what she could do. Two years after moving to Gladstone, she was admitted to Christian Park Healthcare where the staff was able to give her care and comfort in her final years.
Marianne is preceded in death by her parents and husband William Williamson.
Marianne is survived by her brother Manfred (Germany), and extended family: Sister in laws, Donna (Williamson) McShane (Curtis), Judy (Williamson) & John Korhonen (VA), Brother in law, Gerald & Eileen Williamson(Gladstone), Nieces, Marybeth (Williamson) Gendron (Gladstone), Christine Korhonen (WA) and Carla (McShane) Orlandi (CO), nephews, Dan Korhonen (Marquette), Edward Williamson (OH), Michael, Kevin and David McShane (IL), Francis, Gary and Todd Williamson (OK)
Private services for Marianne will be held at the a later date. The Skradski Family Funeral Homes of Delta county are assisting the Williamson family.
