Margaret “Peggy Jo” Harris (Vuksan) age, 66 passed away on Wedneresday, June 1, 2016 with her family by her side following a brief illness.
Peg was born October 29, 1949 in Gladstone, the daughter of John and Nath (Hillewaert) Vuksan. She was raised in Gladstone and graduated from the Gladstone High School. Peg was united in marriage to Robert “Bob” Harris at the All Saints Catholic Church in Gladstone on February 15, 1969. She was a long time member of All Saints and served on the funeral luncheon committee. Peg worked as a nurses assistant at the Christian Park Village, cleaned at the Log Cabin Restaurant and was a housekeeper and office clerk at the Gladstone Motel. She loved dogs, knitting, camping, four wheeler rides, road trips, sight seeing and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Peg is survived by her husband, Bob of Gladstone, her daughter, Sara (Tracy) Harris of Gladstone, her son, John (Gina) Harris of Gladstone; grandchildren, Chelsea (Zach) Timm, Ryan Timm and Landon Harris all of Gladstone; brother, Richard (Elizabeth) Vuksan, niece, Renee Vuksan; brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws, Brian (Bev) Mack of Florida, Vic (Cindy) Harris of Nevada, Di (Butch) Bennett of California, Brenda Milkovich of Wisconsin, Gregg Harris of Indiana, Terry Harris of Wisconsin, Jeff (Vicki) Harris of California, Gwen (Ed) Bruzas of Gladstone, Sally (Tim) Weinland of California, Tom (Gwen) Harris of Escanaba; numerous nieces and nephews and special friends, Chris McNair and Denny and Mary Darling.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her mother and father-in-law.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 5:00 PM at the All Saints Catholic Church with Fr. Jamie Ziminski officiating. A luncheon will be served following the services in the parish hall.
