Marcia Lu Priebe, age 61, of 3392 County Road #416; Cornell died Monday, April 23rd, 2007, at St. Francis Hospital in Escanaba following a lengthy illness.
Marcia was born June 4th, 1945 in East Lansing, Michigan, the daughter of Clare Burr Foster and the former Jeannette Clair Ferris and was raised in East Lansing. After graduating high school there, she attended Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant, Michigan. Marcia later relocated to the Upper Peninsula, settling in Engadine where she met her husband, Kevin D. Priebe, Sr. They married June 7th, 1974 and moved to the Cornell area in 1980 where they have resided since.
Her education continued at Bay de Noc Community College in Escanaba where she received a business degree and Marcia was currently employed for the Delta Menominee District Health Department.
Including her talents in craftwork especially crocheting, family and friends especially remember her great love of flower gardening and bird-watching. Spending time with family, however, was always the most important aspect of her life.
In addition to Kevin, her husband of 33 years, Marcia Priebe survivors include:
3 Sons- Ron (Becky) Reed of Escanaba; Brad Reed of Cornell; Kevin (Shannon Bruce) Priebe, Jr. of the Flat Rock area (Escanaba Twp.)
1 Daughter- Jena Priebe of Los Angeles, CA
9 grandchildren, and nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two children, Michelle and Amy Reed, and by a brother, James, and a sister, Shirley Rahl.

It is with sadness that received this from our cousin Rebecca Adams Blair.
Marcia is my first cousin and haven’t seen her in many years, however thought of her from time to time. She was a very beautiful young girl and woman.
I send love to her children and grandchildren with good thoughts of Marcia, her parents, brother and sister.

God bless you Marcy, my dear cousin. We always had such a good time as kids and it was so much fun to come to your house in East Lansing. We were so lucky to have such a close family and to enjoy all the good times we had together.

I do not have a fondest memory, cause all memories of Marcy are fond. I have not met Marcy prior to moving from Germany to Michigan. When my son Michael and I arrived at the airport she welcomed us with open arms and we were a part of the family right away. She has always been more like a mother rather that a mother-in-law and I miss her dearly. She will always be in my heart.

Marcy was a part of my life for about 40 years from running around together while in high school to childrens birthday parties, graduations, sharing grandchildren stories to laughing and crying together. Marcy and I had a lot of good times together and she will be missed by all who knew her and loved her. She cared about other people and always had time to give to her family. We will always remember Marcy and the times we shared. We continue to keep all of her family in our thoughts and prayers. So long to a wonderful lady who now is in a better place without pain and worry. We love you Marcy!

My fondest memory of Marcy is when I first moved to Cornell from the Milwaukee area and did not have any family or know anyone there. My son, Tony, introduced me to Marcy through Kevin Jr and we became friends. She helped me through a rough time in my life found that we had a lot in common. She was the one who pushed me into looking for a job to help fill some of my time. I learned a lot from her about gardening, we enjoyed doing crafts together and had a lot of laughs. I thought of her often after we moved back to Wisconsin 10 years ago, and I know that her enthusiasm for life will be terribly missed.

cherish the most is when we met up in Florida and I spent the night with you and Kevin. We were
laying in bed and talking. I told you how now matter what happened, you would always be my Aunt, and you told me that you would cry, it would break your heart, if I ever stopped calling you Aunt Marcy.
