Mae Florence Delvaux, age 83, former longtime Flat Rock area resident died Friday, July 8, 2005, at the Country Acres Adult Foster Care Facility in Gladstone where she was currently residing.Mae was born June 29th, 1922, in Cornell, the daughter of Mose LaCarte and the former Viola Couillard and was raised in the Cornell area.
After her marriage to Jule J. Delvaux in 1939, she and her husband lived in Cornell for a brief period before relocating to Flat Rock where they resided most of their lives. Jule preceded her in death in 1972.
Mae was a former long-time member of Holy Family Church in Flat Rock and was a former member of St. Anne Church in Escanaba when she lived in Escanaba for an interval of time. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and canning and her family was always the primary focus of her endeavors
