Mable McGillviray, age 91, of Gladstone, passed away peacefully Friday afternoon, April 29, 2011, surrounded by family and friends, following a brief illness.
Mable was born, March 25, 1920, in Barbeau, MI, the daughter of Michael and Demerese (Cody) Weger. She was raised in Barbeau and attended the Barbeau schools. Mable remained in Barbeau until the age of sixteen, at which time, she moved to Garnet, MI before relocating to Gladstone. On January 29, 1951, Mable was united in marriage to Garnet McGillviray, in Escanaba, and together the couple made their home and raised their family in Gladstone. Garnet preceded Mable in death on January 2, 2008. Mable was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was always delighted to attend her grandchildren
