Lottie Marie Cole, age 85, of Gladstone passed away on Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at Lakeview Assisted Living, where she had been residing for the last five months.
Lottie was born December 23, 1934 in Gladstone, the daughter of Charles and Laura (Mercier) Dementer. She was united in marriage to Donald C. Cole on September 5, 1953 in Gladstone. Lottie was a Military wife and mother, traveling with Don and her family to numerous locations while Don served in the United States Army. She was kind and generous and enjoyed spending time with her family, walking everyday, tending to her plants and flowers and cooking and baking, which she loved to give away. She will be deeply missed by all.
Lottie is survived by her children, Donna (Wally) Barron of Gladstone, Steven Cole of Gladstone, Mark (Michele) Cole of Escanaba, Joe (Carmella) Cole of Masonville and Don (Stacey) Cole of Gladstone; grandchildren, Molly (Rob) Rebholz, Ben Barron, Joshua (Jenna) Cole, Jacob (Christina) Cole, Clay Cole, Kristy and Kayle Bovin, Kaylee (Bubba Heath) Cole, Jaycee Cole, Alissa (Kevin) Soison and Anna and Emma Caramella; great grandchildren, Riley and Vincent Rebholz, Julia, Jonah, Jensen and Jack Cole, Lennon Bovin and Emmitt Heath; brothers, Chuck (Wanda) Dementer of Naubinway, MI and Joe (Vicki) Dementer of Gladstone and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, sister, Dorothy (Wally) Day, father and mother-in-law, Clyde and Alma Cole and sister-in-law, Doris (Johnny) Schroeder.
The family will receive friends on Friday, March 6 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1:00 PM at All Saints Catholic Church in Gladstone with Fr. Jamie Ziminski officiating. A luncheon will follow in the parish hall. Lottie will be entombed at the Gardens of Rest Cemetery in Wells.

Aunt Lottie was a gentle soul full of love and enjoyment of her children and grandchildren, and extended family. She was such a joy to talk to long distance and we always had such a fun visit on our trips back home. She will be truly missed, but I have been truly blessed to have her for an Aunt – Rest in Peace Sweet Lady – you will never know how much you are loved and missed even into eternity! Our thoughts and prayers are with the family – hugs and sweet kisses sent your way!
