Lois D. (Blake) McGovern, age 93, of 800 S. 10th Street, Escanaba, passed away peacefully in her sleep Sunday morning August 25, 2013 at home.
Lois was born May 19, 1920 in Hyde, Michigan, the daughter of Frank P. and Ina L. (Paulsa) Blake. She was married to John McGovern on October 17, 1945 in San Francisco, California. Lois was a longtime member of the First Presbyterian Church, where she served as a deacon and worked as a secretary for the Bird

I’ve been a friend to Lois for the past 4 years and I will truly miss her. In her own way she communicated to me friendship and she made my day when she smiled and giggled at me. Rest in peace sweet Lois….I will always remember you.
