Ruthy & Linda – I didn’t hear of Linda’s passing until yesterday. I’ll always remember coming to your home and giving perms and haircuts. Linda was such a character. She had a very full life and you 2 were so good to her, always putting her before yourselves. Know that she is in a better place and cherish the memories.

To Ruth and Carolyn, and family,

Linda is now at peace in heaven. I’m sure she was met with great joy by your parents, other departed family and friends. Maybe even my Dad was on hand to tease her good naturedly. She will rest happily in God’s arms and wait for the rest of her earth-bound family and friends to join her in the heavenly family in due time. God’s Peace to All of You. She was so lucky to have both of you always taking care of her and you were also both very lucky to have such a sweet and loving sister. Love, Iris

I remember spending a lot of hours with Linda during my high school years. My favorite memories are of her calling me Connie Willums, close to my last name of Williams. I also smile when I recall a time her father brought home one of those long-nosed ugle fish he caught and Linda jumped back and yelled out “shark!” She was a sweet, warm, loving girl. My sympathies to the Johnson family for their loss.

To a little girl I have loved for 52 years, the one who has taught me patience, understanding, and the ability to love with all my heart. I will miss your sweet smile, your loving hugs and kisses. I will miss your stories about your other sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews, and friends because you loved them all. I will miss your many little compliments, your hopes and dreams that your sister Kate will come up for your birthdays; I’ll miss the many little handwritten recipes you copied out of magazines and mailed to me. God was so generous to us to let you stay with us for so many years and we are so thankful for that. Over the years, some people have said “Oh what a shame that the Johnson Family has to deal with a Down Syndrome child.” But it was never like that for us….you were our little Gift from God and we loved you so much. Our lives will go on but we will miss you forever and think about you daily. Goodbye my little love.
