    Dear Great Grandpa,

“I miss you. I liked playing with you. I really liked it when you shared your cherries with me from your drinks. Thank you also for letting me and Nick have one of your favorite ice cream bars at the cabin. I LOVE YOU GREAT GRANDPA!”

    Gary:

My Dad sent me the obituary notice of one of my neighbors on S. 19th Street, Bob Peterson where it referenced theSkradski funeral home website. In scrolling down the listing I found this notice about your Dad.

Gary, Gerry and family, please accept my deepest sympathy on the passing of your Father and Husband. Gary, I fondly remember some of more “wilder” days in Escanaba with Steve H., Brian I. and Co.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this time.

    Sincerely,

    Mark & Marcia Vanlerberghe

    Dear Gerry,

Sorry to hear of your loss. I’m sure you don’t remember me as it’s been many years since I lived in Escanaba. My dad, Dwayne Burak, worked at the mill and he introduced me to Larry when I was a teenager. I had bought an old car and Larry was kind enough to provide me with some much needed advice on how to keep it running (or get it running). I recall one day when you and Larry stopped by our home for some needed advice in getting my old Oldsmobile running. At the time Larry was driving a beautiful 1954 Oldsmobile. Larry was truly a gentleman. When I worked at the mill during my college years he would always stop by and say hello and offer helpful advice.

Our condolences to you at this difficult time.
