LaVergne G. Doneau, age 86, passed away Thursday evening, August 13, 2015, at Christian Park Health Care Facility in Escanaba.
LaVergne was born September 19, 1928, in Escanaba, the daughter of Claud and Gertrude (Brunstrom) Chapman. She was raised in Escanaba, Wells and Gladstone and attended the Escanaba Schools. LaVergne was united in marriage to Kenneth Bricker, who preceded her in death, and later to Julius Doneau who also preceded her in death. LaVergne worked primarily as a homemaker. She enjoyed going to bingo, listening to music, and taking long walks.

Sons: Rodger (Rose) Bricker, Eugene (Joyce) Bricker, Mark (Sue) Bricker, Bill (Beth) Doneau, and Jamie (Laura) Doneau all of Gladstone, MI
Daughter: Pam (Brent) Kirkpatrick of Escanaba, MI
Also surviving are 14 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
LaVergne was preceded in death by her parents, Claud and Gertrude:

Family will receive friends on Monday from 2:00PM to 4:00PM at the Skradski Family Funeral Home in Escanaba. Funeral services will follow visiting hours, at 4:00PM on Monday, at the Skradski Family Funeral Home in Escanaba, with Major Leonard White and Major Ralph Hansen of the Salvation Army officiating. Luncheon will follow funeral services at the Salvation Army in Escanaba. LaVergne will be laid to rest in the Gardens of Rest Cemetery in Wells. The Skradski Family Funeral Homes of Delta County are assisting the family with arrangements.
