Gladstone, MI
Larry Maskart, age 72, of 1708 Dakota Avenue, Gladstone, passed away unexpectedly of an apparent heart attack Wednesday afternoon November 12, 2014 at the St. Francis Hospital in Escanaba.
Larry was born June 19, 1942 in Gladstone the son of Alphonse and Florence (Murray) Maskart. He was raised in Gladstone where he attended Gladstone Public Schools. Larry was united in marriage to the former Rose Larson on February 12, 1966 at the St. Thomas Catholic Church in Escanaba. They made their home in Gladstone where they raised their daughter Kimberly.
Larry worked construction all of his life for the Iron Mountain Labors Union #1329. He retired in 2000. He was a member of the All Saints Church in Gladstone, U.P. Chiefs and the Patriot Guard Riders. His hobbies included riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle and going to car shows to show his 1939 Ford. Larry enjoyed his daily walks and collecting miniature cars.

Granddaughter: Heather Chouinard of Gwinn
Brother: Michael Maskart of Rapid River
Brothers-in-law: Daniel (Marty) Larson of Rapid River, Richard (Mary) Larson of Rock and Donald Larson of Valdosta, GA
Sister-in-law: Mandy Larson of Gladstone
Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

My dear Rose and family……….I am so very sorry. Larry was really a great guy and I have so many fond memories …..especially when he was so active with the U.P. Chiefs. He was a favorite highlight of the club. My sympathy.
