Bark River, MIKurt Derouin, age 52, of Bark River, was called home to be with our Lord on October 21, 2016.
Kurt was born June 3, 1964, in Rockford, IL, the son of Roger and Joyce (Jones) Derouin. During grade school, Kurt moved to Escanaba where he eventually met his future wife, the former Paula Isetts. The couple tied the knot in 1985 and lived an adventurous life in Bark River.
He is survived by his wifie, Paula of Bark River; best friend and brother, Jeff (Barb) Derouin and sister in law, Julie Derouin all of Rockford, IL.
His in-laws were very dear to him. Kurt is additionally survived by: Mother in law, Jean Isetts, brothers in law, Bill Isetts Jr., Troy Isetts, all of Escanaba, and Steven (Von) Isetts of California.
Kurt loved spending time with his 5 nephews and nieces. They include, Billy (Jennifer) Isetts, Jordan (Courtney) Isetts, Kandi (Nash) Yates, Jade Isetts and Troy Isetts Jr.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roger and Joyce and his 2 brothers, Roger Bill Derouin and Keith Derouin.
Kurt was a God loving Christian man, a devoted Hubby and a hard worker his entire life.
Revelation 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
Kurt’s family would like to humbly thank OSF Hospice volunteers, nurses and bath aides.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday October 29, 2016, from 10:00AM to 12:00PM, at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. Funeral services will follow visiting hours, at 12:00PM on Saturday, at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone, with Christine Berquist officiating.

Paula, it has been an honor spent my time with Kurt and you over this time I came into your lives!
To see how much you loved him through all this was special to me!
The last few times with him when he seemed to be upset; I would read the Bible and he would come down and rest.
I wish I would have known him before his Huntington sickness.
I believe that Kurt is now in heaven with no more pain!
