Kenneth R. Ballinger Sr., age 69, of 426 S. 9th Street in Escanaba, formerly of Taylor, Michigan passed away Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at his home with his family by his side.
Kenneth was born November 28, 1940 in River Rouge, Michigan, the son of Ernest and Tillie Mae (Pettiplace) Ballinger. He worked as a tool and die machinist for Detroit Edison for many years. He was a loving father and grandfather and enjoyed watching his grandchildren’s sporting events. He loved his dogs and enjoyed the outdoors, three-wheeling, camping and watching baseball.

He was preceded in death by a son, Mark Lee Ballinger and his parents.
Kenneth’s family will receive friends on Sunday, September 5 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Skradski-Boyce Funeral Home in Escanaba. Memorial services celebrating Kenneth’s life will follow at 3:00 PM at the funeral home with Pastor Darin Kelsey officiating. A luncheon will be served following services at Kenneth and Mona’s home.
