Karen Lynn Randall; devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, age 66, of the Soo Hill/Danforth area, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 7, 2013 while visiting her family in Utah.

Born on November 9, 1946 in Escanaba, Michigan to the late Ferdinand (Fred) and Lena (Duncan) Sebeck of Gladstone, Karen grew up in Gladstone and graduated from Gladstone High School in 1965. She married her high school sweetheart, Robert (Bob) Randall on July 30, 1966. After briefly living in Missouri while Bob finished his military time, they moved back to the Escanaba area, built their home of 43 years where they raised 3 sons.

    I remember Karen most from my childhood. We had many family gatherings at my grandparent’s house, Harry and Lillian Randall.
    The entire family is in my thoughts and prayers.

    Dear Bob and family…I am so sorry to hear about your loss of Karen…I am so thankful that we got to visit with all of you last July.     Well, auntie Karen…we got to say our goodbyes this past weekend. What a beautiful tribute to a beautiful person! You surely are and will be missed by many! We are all holding our own and know that our memories w/ you will provide us w/ comfort and in time there will be peace. We’ll all be checking on your boys and help them through this difficult time, however we know how much they miss you and wish you were here. What a wonderful, mother, sister, daughter, aunt, wife and friend you were to all!

    Bob and family,I am saddened to learn of Karen’s death as I am certain many of the GHS Class of 1965 are also. Karen will always be remembered as a kind and thoughtful person as well as being a wonderful classmate. May many precious memories comfort you all.

    I didn’t know Karen but it sounds like she was a wonderful lady. Sending my sympathies to the family, especially my friend Larry, (Karen’s brother). Knowing both Karen’s Mom & Dad, it is comforting to know they welcomed Karen “home” for a heavenly reunion.
