At 90 years of age, Judith Kolich passed away on Wednesday, March 29, 2017. She received the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick from her childhood friend, Father Emmett Norden, prior to her passing.
Judy was born in Perkins, Michigan and graduated from Perkins High School. She married Michael Kolich in 1954. Judy was the family historian relating many stories of the family history and the Escanaba and Perkins area.
Judy was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Kolich; her father Walter Gerou; her mother Lila Edburg Gerou; her siblings Norman Gerou, twins Glen and Gloria Gerou and Ivan Gerou.
She is survived by her sister, Sylvia Gerou Peyton; nephews, Greg (Ilona) Gerou, Kirk Gerou, Tim (Vicki) Gerou, Kent (Beth) Peyton and nieces, Sharon (Jeff) Taylor, Renee (Jerry) Ward as well as beloved great nieces and nephews.
A memorial service for Judith will be held at a later date.
The family is being assisted by the Skradski Family Funeral Home in Escanaba.
