Judith “Judy” Ann McFadden (Anuta), 84, resident of Sun Village in Surprise, Arizona, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 29th, 2023, after a lengthy battle with dementia. She was born in Menominee County, Wisconsin on November 6th, 1938. Her childhood years were spent in Peshtigo, Wisconsin, later moving to West Lafayette, Indiana, where she attended Klondike High School and Purdue University. At Purdue she was a member of Alpha Chi Omega sorority and studied modern dance. It was at Purdue that she met her husband, Raymond George McFadden. They were married on June 7th, 1959, and lived in several places around the Los Angeles, California area where they had two children; Mark and Cheryl. Later moving to Columbus, Ohio then to Phoenix, Arizona in 1985. After George’s passing in 1994, Judy moved into Sun Village in Surprise, Arizona. Judy was a very social person, she was kind, compassionate, funny and fun loving, and happiest when she was with her family and her friends. She loved to play the slots and bingo and was employed at the Riverboard Bingo Hall for many years. Judith is survived by her brother Phillip Anuta (Jean) of Surprise Arizona; two children Mark McFadden of Studio City, California, and Cheryl LaJoye (Kevin) of Marquette, Michigan; three Grandchildren Amber Libby (Travis) of Cheboygan, Michigan, Kyle LaJoye (Katie) and Kayla Marchant (Garret) of Marquette, Michigan; five Great Grandchildren Charlotte Libby, Darwin Libby, Montgomery Libby, Thatcher LaJoye and Genevieve Marchant, and nieces and nephews Joseph Anuta of New York, Phillip Anuta of Missoula, Montana, Adam Anuta, Austin Darling, Heather Anuta (Nathan) of Surprise, Arizona, Elliott Anuta (Fajhi) and Lindsey Anuta of Tempe, Arizona. She is preceded in death by her father and mother Edward and Geraldine Anuta, and her brothers Paul Anuta (Diana) and David Anuta (Peggy).

She will be greatly missed by many……A Celebration of Life Service at the Riverboat Bingo Hall in Surprise, Arizona, is planned from 5-8 pm on Wednesday April 26th, and a burial next to her husband Raymond George McFadden in Escanaba, Michigan is forthcoming.
