Joyce L. Creten, age 91, of Gladstone, passed away peacefully surrounded by family Tuesday evening, May 10, 2022 at Bishop Noa Home, where she had resided for the past two years.
Joyce was born March 24, 1931 the daughter of Eric and Esther (Dahl) Lindahl.
On November 29th, 1952 Joyce married her high school sweetheart, Michael L. Creten, and they shared 67 years together; raising their two children in Gladstone, MI. Michael preceded her in death on May 27, 2019.
Joyce was a very talented pianist and organist, playing for weddings and funerals as a young teen. She went on to become the organist for First Lutheran Church in Gladstone for some 46 years before retiring. In their retirement, Joyce and Michael enjoyed many years camping with the Good Sams group, forming some great friendships over the years. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her great grandchildren.

Son: Chris Creten of Gladstone, MI
Daughter: Ann (Denis) Severinsen of Escanaba, MI
Granddaughters: Kayla (Dan) Verbeek and Melissa (James) Sankovitch
Great Grandchildren: Emma and Griffyn Verbeek and Erick Sankovitch
Brother-in-law: Dan (Kathy) Creten
Sister-in-law: Marilyn Creten
And numerous Nieces and Nephews

Twin Brothers: Bill and Bob Lindahl
An infant Sister: Caroline
Sister: Esther Miller
Sisters-in-law: Marion Lindahl and Beatrice Lindahl
Brothers-in-law: Maurice Miller and Phil Creten
Family will receive friends on Monday, May 16, 2022 from 10:00 until 11:00 AM at the First Lutheran Church in Gladstone. Funeral Services will follow visitation at 11:00 AM with Pastor Elisabeth Daniels officiating. A luncheon will follow in the church hall. Joyce will be laid to rest next to her Husband in the Fernwood Cemetery in Gladstone.
The Skradski Family Funeral Homes of Delta County are assisting the Creten family.
