I have lot’s of memories of Mrs. Robert’s from when I attended Lemmer School from 1984-1990. Later in life I knew her through church. She was a wonderful person and I always enjoyed our conversations. Please accept my deepest sympathy.
I will offer mass for her on Sunday, March 9, 2008 during our evening mass at our church here in New Haven.
Sincerely,
Fr. Shawn M. Smith SJ

When I saw Joy’s picture on the Daily Press website, I remembered her right away. It feels like just yesterday I was in third grade, playing with my friends at recess and yelling, “Watch this! See what I can do!?!” It is hard to believe I am 25 now. My condolences to your family. After so many years, her memory is clear in my mind as a person who was very kind to me. To Joy, thank you for taking good care of me and my friends while we were at Lemmer School and for patiently answering me every time I pestered you with questions.
