Josephine Dacko, 62, of 7597 County 511 Y.5 Road Rapid River, died on Tuesday May 25, 2004 unexpectedly at Marquette General Hospital.
She was born February 3, 1942 in Poland, Europe and moved to the United States at the age of 18. She was the former Josephine Maciusiak Stekala and was married to Kenneth Dacko on February 13, 1965 in Detroit, Michigan. They moved to the Rapid River area in 1974. She had been employed by the E.M.P. Company as a machinist for the past 18 year and was a member of the Teamsters Local # 328. Josephine enjoyed gardening with her husband, Bingo, the outdoors and warm weather.
She leaves to survive: her husband of 39 years Kenneth; 1 Son: Kenneth Dacko of Escanaba; 1 Daughter: Kristine Dacko of Florida; 1 Granddaughter: Samantha of Appleton, Wisconsin; Her Mother: Beatrice of Poland; 1 Brother and 1 Sister of Poland.
She was preceded in death by her father Joseph.
Funeral services for Josephine Dacko will be held at the Skradski Funeral Home in Escanaba on Saturday, May 29th at 12 Noon with Fr. Jacek Wtyklo officiating. Visitation will continue after the service until 2:00 PM. Burial will be in the Bay de Noc Twp. Cemetery.
