Joseph Frank Stemack, age 79, of Rapid River passed away unexpectedly Saturday, May 6, 2017 at St. Francis Hospital in Escanaba.
Joe was born March 19, 1938 in Ensign, MI, the son of Joseph and Julia (Merle) Stemack. He graduated in 1956 from Rapid River High School. Joe worked at the Rapid River Cheese Factory, Harnischfeger (Welder), and retired from Rapid River Schools (Bus Mechanic). Joe also ran a family dairy farm with his wife, Gail.
After retirement, he and Gail spent their winters in Auburndale, Florida. He enjoyed camping, playing cards, and spending time with family. His sense of humor and mischievous ways will be sorely missed by his family and friends.
