Mitchells, VAJohn P. Carignan, age 49, of Mitchells, VA, and former resident of Cornell, passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2011, at his home in Virginia.
John was born July 6, 1962, in Baraboo, WI, the son of Donald L. Carignan and Kathleen (Barrow) Marcella. John was raised in Cornell and was a 1980 graduate of the Escanaba Senior High School. John was employed for more than twenty five years as a plumber and worked for Northern Virginia Plumbing Inc. John enjoyed camping, four wheeling, dirt bike riding, hunting and fishing with his loving son Jordon. John was very warm hearted and loving man who would help anyone in need. He will be truly missed.

Kathleen, Rene, Dave, Cathy, and all your families, I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your son, and brother Johnny. I remember him so well growing up, going to Cornell with the Carignan’s to hang out on the weekends…playing baseball, and having so much fun. He was just a little boy then, and was so nice. Our prayers go out to your family at this time.
