John Gust Lake, Jr., age 91, of Gladstone passed away on Friday, February 29th, 2008 at the Iron Mountain Veterans Hospital where he was a patient since January 11th.
John was born August 18th, 1916 in the Kipling Location of Gladstone, the son of John Richard Lake, Sr. and the former Celia Rantala.

My condolences at your loss of your Dad. Growing up we always called him “Mr.” Lake. My dad, Joe Gasperich, insisted on it. They did make some great music together…I even have a picture of the musicians together. They did love their music.
I remember John and Lefty the best from that group. They practiced together and spent some good times. I also remember having our TV fixed by your Dad. He was the “best”…according to my Dad….and the results were always good.
