6 Tributes for “John “Butch” Caswell

My deepest sympathy to all. John was a great guy, who was there when I spent time in Alaska. I got to see him again a few years ago when he showed up at my church, First Lutheran in Gladstone. He was very friendly, and always nice to me. I will always remember that.

My heart’s saddened to hear this news. Maybe it’s fitting I was in the woods scouting for deer when I received word. I’m happy to have known JC as a neighbor and a friend… Some happy memories with him: running over bear, hunting Wilsey Bay, ice fishing, and always, his Ford trucks!
“Ya hired on tuh be TOUGH!” …some of his best advice.

Happy Trails JC, til we meet again.

    Sincere Sympathies,
    Jarrod Erdody & Family

We were very sorry to hear about John’s passing. We will always have some special memories of him. We are still in Texas and will be unable to make the memorial, but our thoughts and prayers are with the family.

Thank you Sir, for your service to this country. You were a hero, who walked amongst us, very quietly! Our Deepest Sympathy to the Family…

I am so sorry for your loss. I only met Butch a few times but he was such a friendly, sweet and caring man. Doesn’t surprise me he was awarded the Medal Of Honor. He had great character and I am very proud he was there to protect us and so thankful for for his service. God Bless You All And May God Comfort You In This Time Of Sorrow!
