Joan B. Marmilick, 71, of 1420 Minneapolis Ave. in Gladstone, died Sunday, Aug.16, 2009 at the Marquette Medical Care Facility in Ishpeming where she had been a resident for four months.She was born Feb. 28, 1938 in Gladstone, the daughter of the late Raymond C. and Virginia (Scheer) Billings. Joan attended school in Gladstone and graduated in 1956 from Holy Name High School in Escanaba. She married Norman J. Marmilick on Feb. 8, 1959, and they had three daughters. Norman proceeded her in death on March 10, 1982.

Joan worked as a teller at the First Bank in Gladstone. She was a member of All Saints Catholic Church in Gladstone, where she had been a Eucharistic minister and member of the funeral committee. Joan had also been an active member of the Business and Professional Women
