Jeneane Ann Thennes, age 90, of Gladstone passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, February 16, 2022.

Jeneane was born July 13, 1931 in Garden, Michigan, the daughter of James and Mary (Maynard) Tatrow. She was united in marriage to Irvin Thennes on September 4, 1948. She was a longtime member of All Saints Catholic Church in Gladstone.

Jeneane is survived by her daughters, Teresa Glasscock and Gisele (Stacy) Bingham; grandchildren, Allison (Patrick) Oja, Rachael Oja, Sara (Dave) Herriman and James (Ann) Bingham and great grandchildren, Ava Haus, Jett Herriman, Grace Jeneane Herriman and Sam Bingham.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Irvin, her parents, siblings and son-in-law, George Glasscock.

The family will receive friends on Friday, February 25 from 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 6:00 PM at the All Saints Catholic Church with Fr. Jamie Ziminski officiating. Jeneane will be laid to rest in the Fernwood Cemetery.

    Dear GI and family, my tears are for you. It is hard to lose one’s mommy. You were a great daughter. I will not be at the funeral because I will be out of town but you will in my thought and prayers. May your mom rest in the arms of our Lord! Love, Mrs U.

    Jen was a great lady and mentor to me at the law office back in the day. She always had a kind word, and words of advice. (I was a teen working in one of my first professional offices) She made work fun for a nervous teen. Ran into her years later and she hadn’t changed. Still a sweet, funny lady . So sorry to learn of her passing. Condolences to her family.

    I knew her as Aunt Jen, she was one of the most loving person I have ever known. Always had a smile on her face and a kind word. She will be greatly missed. May God keep you in his arms. Teresa and G.I. I will keep you and your family in my prayers.

    I am sorry for your loss of a great lady that I had the pleasure of meeting and ended up going to the gym with. How all that came about I don’t quite remember, but I sure had a lot of fun with! Jen you will be missed by many! your friend Gayle

    It is now November and the pain of Aunt Jen’s loss is still with me. I will so miss all her stories and long fun-filled holidays with her and Teresa, and Giselle. Please remember to love and honor your loved ones when they pass but even better is to spend time just to talk and as Auntie would say, Let’s just visit.
