Almost exactly one month after the death of her beloved husband, Jean A. (Boyer) Miller passed away at the home of her daughter, surrounded by her loved ones on November 15, 2021.

Jean was married to John T. (Jack) Miller on August 4, 1956, and for 65 years they cherished raising their five children and being extremely involved in the lives of their 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandsons. Their lives evolved around their family and they were happiest when their entire family was together.
Jean graduated valedictorian of her 1952 Rapid River High School class and several of her grand children followed in her footsteps by also graduating valedictorian of their high school class.

Jean went on to Northern Michigan College and in 1956 graduated with a BS in Business Education. She returned to Rapid River where she met, fell in love with and married Jack, all within a three month courtship.

Jean’s surviving children and grandchildren are: Jon (Karen) Miller, their children, Josie & Alec; JoJean Miller (Larry), their children, Tessa & Nathan; Joanne (Donald) Bougie, daughter Jessica (Adam) Schroeder, their sons AJ & Cale, and son, Marty Bougie; James (Debbie) Miller, their children, Stewart, Benjamin & Elle; and Jeff (Toni) Miller, their children Kendyl & Levi.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Cletus and Josephine (Texmunt) Boyer and her brothers, Patrick Boyer and Theodore (Ted) Lindstrom, whose wife Barbra still survives.

Mom, Grandma, Nana…you will always be in our hearts, until we meet again. We love you so much.

In accordance with Jean’s wishes, there will be no funeral services at this time. Instead the family will do a private scattering of ashes, but the family does appreciate your love and support during this difficult time.

The Skradski Family Funeral Homes of Delta County are assisting the Miller family.

    To the family of Jack & Jean Miller,
    I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your parents. I have many fond memories of our parents’ friendship. They had some great trips & cottage gatherings together. I remember our family spending a day at the cottage & your parents were such wonderful hosts. They were great entertainers who made you feel like part of the family. They will be missed by their many friends.
