Janet was born on October 1,1932 in Gladstone, MI at her grandparents home, the daughter of Lawrence and Myrtle (Trueblood) Miller.
Janet was raised in Marinette, WI but her heart was in Gladstone always finding time to visit her grandparents and after high school working at the local Red Owl where she met her future husband. When she married Bob Sr she became a full time Yooper. Along with raising her family she worked various jobs including the Sliver Factory and the Red Owl in Escanaba. As the Church Secretary she was a wealth of historical knowledge, day to day information, always organized and ready for any situation. She was known in the church for her loving hugs, warm hand shakes and open heart.
Some of her hobbies included knitting, crocheting and sewing. She was an incredible baker. For many years she made and sold cakes from her home.

Back in the day, she loved to ride her bicycle to Escanaba, White Fish and Rapid River. She rollerbladed and caught the walking bug, walking with the ladies whenever time was available.

Just as a keystone is essential in locking in an archway, Janet was a keystone to our Church and the church family. Her hugs have been missed for awhile and we grieve that she’s gone BUT we are celebrating because she is with our Lord and Savior Jesus and reunited with her husband. Thank you Janet for your kindness and compassion and may God comfort and bless your family.
