I considered Jane my “bonus aunt”!
Had a lot of great times with she & Dick back in the day. Shopping for gifts with my Mom & sister at the drug store, Packer games, visits at their home (everyone always made me feel welcome) pig roasts & family gatherings at the VanDamme farm, sporting events, etc.
One memory in particular I still chuckle about is when she was laying across the dashboard of Mike & Linda’s motorhome, wearing her FUR coat, leaving a Packer game. My Dad Jerry was driving & the cop directing traffic asked him if he could see ok. He responded with, “She’s good, I don’t look out on that side.” Haha
She stayed up there all the way out of Green Bay waving at everyone. My kind of gal.
My very sincere condolences to you all.
Rest well Aunt Jane.

I have had the pleasure of having many cups of coffee with Jane these last 5 years, since I returned to the area. I admired her sharp wit, her kindness and her insights into the novels we shared. She is the senior citizen we all hope to become. I am proud to admit that she was my first grade teacher at the old St. Ann school. Rest well Jane! I’m thinking she is at a card table with many friends…

Our Rock High School Class of 1953 with 17 of us has lost another classmate this week with Jane’s death . We always had good times together. class plays. girls basketball with Miss Awve etc. Jane was one of our cheerleaders that cheered our boys team on to losses and wins!! Jane was a bus student and I lived across the street from the school so Jane stayed with us nearly once a week as we were good friends and active students, we also were very involved in our CCD religious actives. After graduation we all left for our future and would see each other at our class reunions and short lunches. Jane was with us at our last gathering at Drifters. I was NOT able to come to the wake or funeral yesterday as I had been a hospital patient over Easter and have oxygen etc and unable to change public. I pray that Jane is now at peace as very ill at the end of her life Gayle Ramsth Gill
