James Franklin Yeadon, age 85, of Rock, died Sunday, August 22nd, 2004, at the Jacobetti Home for Veterans in Marquette where he was residing for a number of years.
Jim was born February 18th, 1919 in Rexton, MI, the son of F. Franklin and Alveda (Cowman) Yeadon and lived in the Rock area for much of his life. When he was a young man, Jim entered military service and served with the US Army in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater during World War II. He married the former Vera V. Kapinen and she preceded him in death in 1969.
Jim was engaged in farming and was a woods-worker much of his working life and later retired from Snowden Construction. After his retirement, he was employed part-time for the U.S. Forest Service.
Jim was a member of the Rock Bible Chapel and in his leisure, he was known to enjoy 4-wheeling.
Jim Yeadon
