James W. Duchaine, age 77, of Escanaba and currently residing in Rapid River , died March 7th, 2007 at home of an apparent heart attack. I worked for Jim many years ago when we were both in publishing. I will never forget that he saved my job when there was a management shakeup. Although I was to later become one of the top executives of one of the largest investment banks in the world I never forgot his un-required action in saving my job. I last saw him 8 years ago when he passed through Charleston. I only learned today of his death almost a year ago. He was a great guy.
