Jack T. Slye, age 84, of Escanaba, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 19, 2021 at his home with his loving wife by his side.
Jack was born on February 18, 1937, in Rockford, Illinois, the son of Lewis and Florence (Smith) Slye. Jack grew up and attended high school in Rockford before moving to the Upper Peninsula. He was united in marriage to the former Cheryl Lorge in 1992 and together they have spent 29 years making wonderful memories.
Jack loved being outdoors. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, trapper, and gardener. He enjoyed canning, tying flys for fishing, and going to the casino. He will be deeply missed by so many.
Jack is survived by his wife Cheryl, children Stephanie (Leo) Thibault and John Slye, step-daughter Heather Parker, grandchildren Michael Maestas, Christine Thibault, Hana Parker, and Ian Parker, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, and his beloved dog Nayla.
Jack is preceded in death by his parents, siblings Violet Hawker and Lewis Slye, and his late wife Shirley Slye.
