Helen R. Snowaert, age 82, of 401 Montana Avenue, Gladstone,passed away Tuesday morning September 6, 2011 at home following a brief
illness.

Helen was born May 23, 1929 in Gladstone, the daughter of Roy and Blanche (Pettit) Burroughs. She was raised in Gladstone and was a 1947 graduate of Gladstone High
School.

Helen was united in marriage to Charles F. Snowaert on September 9, 1950 in
Gladstone. They raised their nine children in the original Snowaert family home on Montana Avenue. Helen later worked for the Gladstone Federal Credit Union and she retired from the Delta County Credit Union in 1991. When she retired in 1991 she was Vice President of the Credit Union.

Helen was a member of the All Saints Church in Gladstone and her hobbies included reading and working Crossword and Sudoku puzzles. Family was very important to Helen, and she enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, especially on Sunday mornings where the family gathered at her kitchen table.

Sister: Kay Alko of Perkins

Sister-in-law: Mary Burroughs of Gladstone and
Brother-in-law: John Closs of Gladstone

18 grandchildren: Tracy (Jeff), Kim (Mark), Matt, Jacob (JoAnn), Sarah (Justin), Sam, Josh
(Marcella), Barbie, Tom, Charlie, Diana, Steven, Nick (Crista), J.D., Amy,
Alyssa, Jared and Ian.

8 great grandchildren

Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband Charles, on May 13,
1985, her parents and her brother, Jack Burroughs.
