I had your dad for typing for only one semester back in 1967 and yet anytime I saw him (usually at the Super Valu) he always spoke to me by name. I was always amazed that he remembered my name with the number of students he taught over the all the years. My condolences to you on his passing.

Mr. Kleiman was one of my favorite teachers in high school. He taught me typing and always “threatened” to put a blindfold on me because I looked at the keyboard. I would crack up, deny that I was looking at it, and he would just shake his head and smile. Many yrs. later I moved back to Gladstone and I saw him in church. He recognized me,and expressed his condolences over the loss of my husband. He asked how I was doing, and if I still looked at the keyboard! What a great guy…I still smile when I think of that. I am so sorry for your loss.

I just want to say that I’m so sorry for you loss! Babe or Mr Kleiman, as I always wanted to call him was a great person and will be deeply missed! We use to have a few laughs over the fact that I had a hard time calling him Babe. I was just so use to knowing him by Mr Kleiman from school that it was a habit that was hard to break. I did enjoy getting to know him and enjoyed our talks. Every time I hear something Packers or Detroit Tigers I will think of him, oh ya and his love of scratch off tickets.. I know he sure did love his family and you all were so good to him. He was a very good person and it was a pleasure to have known him for even just a short while.
You are all in my thoughts and prayers!

    Dear family and friends.
Mr Kleiman was a very special person. I had him as a teacher and then later as a patient. He would bring in his harmonica to play for us girls at the clinic and always had a bright smile. During the holidays he would play for the other patients. He is the type of person that is never forgotten. We are very luck to have known him. Blessings to all

Although it’s been 9 years since Mr. Kleiman passed, I was thinking of him today. I’m now 51 years old and was reflecting on all the valuable accounting knowledge I got from Babe all those years ago. He was a great teacher and a good soul. I hope this message finds his friends and family well. His memory lives on.
