Harold Joseph Corwin, Jr., age 82, of Escanaba passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family on Tuesday, September 21, 2021.

Harold was born July 7, 1939 in Gladstone, the son of Harold and Charolette (Micheau) Sr. He was united in marriage to Norinne LaPalm on March 4, 1972. He worked many jobs throughout his life. While driving the bus for McKnight Transportation, he found his purpose in life. He loved every child that rode the bus and any special child he met.

Harold is survived by his wife of 50 years, Norinne; children, Dewayne (Tammy) Corwin of Menominee, Chris (Tracy) Davenport of Rapid River and Tracey (Dale) Sexton of Gladstone; 10 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren; siblings, Victor (Sandy) Corwin of Gladstone, Mary Nowack of Green Bay, WI, Beverly Corwin of Gladstone, Clare (Jim) Morris of Gwinn, MI, Joyce (Dick) Feathers of Gladstone and Gloria (Dan) Swicker of Menominee; a special niece Tammy LaPalm and a special nephew, Diego Mileski who Harold cared for in time of need. In return he became Uncle Harold’s caregiver in his time of need. And too many other nieces and nephews to mention.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Wayne Corwin and brothers-in-law, Eugene Popour and Don Nowack.

The family would like to to thank Lori Dieter and the UP Health System Hospice team for all their help, care and compassion.

The family will receive friends on Monday, September 27 from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM at the Harbor Light Church of God, 612 2nd Avenue South in Escanaba. Memorial services will follow at 4:30 PM with Pastor Tony Morrison officiating. A luncheon will follow in the fellowship hall.

The Corwin family is being assisted by the Skradski Family Funeral Home in Escanaba.
