As a beginning teacher in Gladstone, I was greeted with an invitation to dinner at the Log Cabin by a very loving and special couple. They welcomed me and gave me some of their wisdom, two very special people with compassion and human generosity. I recall meeting them some years later at an NMU football game. Dorrine had slipped quite a bit and Harold was a loving guardian angel. They will always be remembered by me as very special people.
I just found out about the death of Mr. Anderson when back home on vacation. He was truly a well-respected father, educator, and community member. As a friend of Tim’s, I was able to know a more personal side of him, one that most other students did not. When hanging out with Tim, Mr. Anderson always treated me like one of his own sons. He obviously was able to live a full life; one filled with many accomplishments. May God bless you, Tim, Bruce, Kent, and Brian as you mourn the loss of your father, and as you reminisce about, and honor his life.

Mr Anderson was admired by me and my entire family, I graduated 1961 from Nahma, played basketball, ran track and cross country, he and Mrs. Anderson were also our teachers, and neighbors. He was a great contributor to our town, and school. and admired through the U P. My condolences to the family.
Mr. Anderson was a great guy. As a principal, he was stern, which was necessary to ensure discipline, but he also had a good sense of humor. While I was in high school, he and Tim would pick me up and give me a ride to school. He was kind and jovial. Our sympathies go to Tim and the family.
Please accept my sincere sympathy in the loss of your father, he was my science teacher in junior high and your mother was my home economics teacher. They were fondly thought of in the community and even after leaving Nahma kept in touch with so many.
