Gloria Eddy Seney, wonderful mother, sister, daughter, and cherished friend to many, peacefully departed for heaven on November 29, 2004. She left behind her a legacy of faith, brilliance, and the memory of her unfailing goodness of spirit. She was born on December 16th, 1954 in Saginaw, Michigan where she spent her childhood singing as part of the Eddy Quartet, and her teenaged years as part of the musical group Harvest. She married Mark Seney of Vassar, Michigan in 1974. She received her Master in Education Administration from Saginaw Valley State University in 1992, where she also worked as a Financial Aid Officer. Later in 1992, she became the Director of Financial Aid at St. Clair County Community College in Port Huron, Michigan. In 1999 she became the Director of Financial Aid at Bay de Noc Community College in Escanaba, Michigan. She was also a long-standing member of the Michigan Student Financial Aid association and was a past president of Saginaw Valley Cleft Palate Association.
Gloria is survived by her loving husband, Mark Seney; son, Joshua (Amy) Seney; daughter, Rachel (Robert) Baron; her parents, Roy and Jean Eddy; sister Sharon Eddy (Mike) Rick; brother, Stephen (Ronda) Eddy; sister, Jean Eddy (John) Hofmann. Also surviving Gloria are her father-in-law, Glen (Phyllis) Seney; sister-in-law Janet Seney; brother and sister-in-law, Dan and Shirley Seney; sister-in-law, Diane Haley brother-in-law, Philip Seney; numerous nieces and nephews, and a very long list of friends who are grateful to have known her during her time on this earth.
Gloria’s family will receive friends on Wednesday from 12 noon to 8:30 P.M. at theSkradski Funeral Home in Escanaba, MI. Visitation will continue on Thursday at the New Life Assembly of God Church in Escanaba from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Funeral services celebrating the Life of Gloria Grace Eddy Seney will follow at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Robert Derheim officiating. Luncheon will follow services in the church fellowship hall. Visitation will continue at the Tri-County Worship Center in Auburn, MI on Friday from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Services will follow at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Marc Alba officiating. Committal services will follow at the Heavenly Rest Cemetery in Kawkawlin, MI.
Memorial contributions in memory of Gloria may be directed to the Bay College Foundation, envelopes will be available at the Skradski Family Funeral Homes, New Life Assembly of God Church and at the Tri-County Worship Center.
