Gloria Jean Julien, age 74, of Gladstone passed away on Friday, August 5, 2016 at the St. Francis Hospital in Escanaba.
Gloria was born December 30, 1941 in Escanaba, the daughter of Gerald and Blanche (Charlebois) Chenier. She was raised in the Flat Rock area and graduated from the Escanaba Senior High School in 1960. Gloria married Patrick “Dale” Julien on July 2, 1960 at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Flat Rock. They were united in marriage for 56 years. She was a very active member of the Our Savior Lutheran Church in Escanaba, and a retired Sales Associate with Besse Forest Products as well as having worked as a caterer for many years.

Gloria is survived by her husband, Patrick “Dale” Julien of Gladstone, two sons, Kevin (Mary) Julien of Escanaba and their children, Krystal, Kyle and Sean; and Darin (Wendy) Julien of Wooster, OH and their children, Jared (Melanie) and Lucas; three daughters, Moreen (Phil) Weaver of Bath, NY and their children, Christina (Cody), one great grandchild on the way and Kyle (Toni); Loreen (Dan) Stutzman of London, OH and their children, Brien and Connor; and Joleen (Michael) Albrecht of Gladstone and their children, Nolan, Logan, Darren and Mia Stella; three brothers, Duaine (Virginia) Chenier of Rapid River, Dennis (Brenda) Chenier of Trotwood, OH, David (Joanne) Chenier of Flat Rock, two sisters, Beverly (Bob) Miller of Gladstone and Judy Chenier of Gladstone and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son, Brien Julien, her parents and her brother, Rodney Chenier.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 10 from 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Escanaba. Funeral services will be at 5:00 PM at the church with Rev. Al Schubert officiating. A luncheon will follow the services in the fellowship hall. Gloria will be laid to rest in the Escanaba Township Cemetery in Flat Rock.
