Anne and I have the best memories ever of Gladstone, Michigan and the Danhoff family. I spoke a few years back with Jerry by phone and it seemed as though I was still in the Buckmann’s converted garage and would be seeing Jerry the next day at church or school. I remember his laugh, his smile, and his love for people, especially “his” people. June, Barry, Tracey, and Polly. He didn’t have Son-in-laws, Daughter-in-laws, and of course Grandchildren. I can only imagine the joy these members of his family gave Jerry.

I remember him at church, and in the community as well. I can still see him standing at the end of a fire road, somewhere out in the woods the night the adult couples played a “scavenger” type game requiring us to meet at certain places all over the county. He had the end of a lonely fire road, in the dark with a flashlight. He really didn’t need the flashlight as his smile lit the place up. He was easy find once you saw the smile and the flashligt reflecting off his teeth. 🙂

God Bless the “entire” Danhoff family at this time.

    Love you all,

    Dear June and family,

Work does not permit me to be at Jerry’s Memorial Luncheon, but I wanted you all to know that my thoughts and prayers are with you all. I will remember Jerry for his gentleness, his patience, and his good nature inspite of the trials Life gave to him. He was truly a gentleman. He made my work easier for me because of his fun-loving attitude. I only was gifted knowing Jerry a short time, but he made a lasting impression on me. (You too June!)

Jerry will be greatly missed and I will never again listen to Mitch Miller songs without always singing one or two for Jerry. It was an honor to know him and to be able to care for him.

Blessings and Balance as we rejoice in Jerry’s re-birth.
