George Henry Lockard, age 87, of Gladstone, passed away peacefully Tuesday morning, October 4, 2011, at the Christian Park Health Care Facility in Escanaba.
George was born January 29, 1924, in Hermansville, the son of Vene and Florence (Quake) Lockard. George was a 1942 graduate of the Munising High School. Following graduation, George enlisted in the United States Air Force, serving during WWII, from 1942 to 1946. On June 10, 1946, he was united in marriage to the former Myrna Martin, in Hays, Kansas, and together the couple made their home and began their family in Gladstone.
